1 can (10.5 oz / 295 g) condensed cream of mushroom soup
¾ cup (180 ml) milk
1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional, for depth of flavor)
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese (optional but adds creaminess)
1 ½ cups (150 g) French fried onions, divided
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the beans:
- If using fresh green beans, boil in salted water for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
- Make the sauce:
- In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, garlic powder, and half of the fried onions.
